Free Word Timetable Template (.docx)
Two ways to use this. Download a .docx file and edit it in Word, Google Docs, or Pages — or skip the download and edit a weekly timetable online. Both free, both print-ready.
.docx · 9 KB · opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, Pages
Built for Word users (and Google Docs users)
The .docx file uses native Word tables — not embedded images. Open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Pages, or LibreOffice and start typing.
Real Word table, not a screenshot
An editable Word table with proper rows and columns — type into any cell, no fighting with image placeholders.
Open in Google Docs
Drag the .docx into Google Drive and Google Docs converts it cleanly. Same template, no manual rebuild.
Weekly grid, hourly rows, all 7 days
Default 08:00–20:00 with hourly rows for the full week. Trim to weekday-only, change times, or merge cells for longer activities.
Print-ready letter and A4
Sized for A4 and US Letter portrait. Adjust page setup to landscape if you want wider day columns.
Or skip the download — edit online
Don't want to use Word? The online editor handles colors, custom days, and PDF export without spreadsheet or document software.
No sign-up, no watermark
The .docx is clean — no embedded logos, no signup nags inside the document, no tracking.
When a Word document is the right format
Type-heavy class schedules
Some teachers and students prefer Word for adding notes alongside the timetable — homework reminders, links, comments. Word handles long text better than spreadsheets.
Daily timetable in Word
Open the .docx, delete six day columns, save as a daily timetable. Or use the online editor for one-click day toggling.
Course outline alongside a schedule
Combine the timetable with course descriptions, syllabus, or class rules in one Word document. Useful for back-to-school packs.
Office weekly schedule with notes
Add a notes section under the table — meeting prep, project priorities, weekly goals. Word's mixed text+table format suits this.
Workshop or training programme
Use the timetable as the schedule, then add session descriptions, prerequisites, and links below. Single document, easy to email.
Google Docs collaborative timetable
Drop the .docx into Google Docs, share the link, let teammates edit together in real time. The Word table converts cleanly.
How to use the Word timetable template
Two paths — download the .docx, or edit online. Pick whichever matches your workflow.
Click Download .docx
The 9 KB file lands in your downloads folder. No sign-up, no email, just the file.
Open in Word, Google Docs, or Pages
Double-click to open in Word, drag into Google Drive for Docs, or open in Apple Pages. The table converts cleanly in all three.
Type in subjects, classes, shifts, activities
Click any cell and type. Add color via the table-design toolbar. Bold or color-code subjects to make the layout readable.
Print or export to PDF
Use File → Print or File → Export → PDF. The default page setup prints clean on A4 and US Letter.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Word timetable template free?
Yes. Free, no sign-up, no watermark in the .docx file.
Will the .docx work in Google Docs?
Yes. Drag into Google Drive and Google Docs converts it cleanly. Tables, headings, and styling are preserved.
Does it work in Apple Pages or LibreOffice?
Yes. The .docx file is standard and opens cleanly in Pages, LibreOffice Writer, and any other modern word processor.
Can I get a daily Word timetable instead of weekly?
Yes. Open the file and delete six of the seven day columns to create a daily layout. Or use the online editor and toggle days off in one click.
Why a Word file when Excel would have formulas?
Different workflows. Word is better when you want to add narrative — notes, descriptions, instructions — alongside the table. Use Excel if you want totals or calculations.
Can I share the Word timetable with collaborators?
Yes — email the .docx, share via OneDrive or Google Drive, or upload to a shared workspace. Multiple people can edit if you use Google Docs or Word Online.
